A seasoned Insurance/Reinsurance and Risk Management specialist, Mr. Kirui holds a Master's Degree (Applied Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Education Degree (Science) from Kenyatta University, Kenya. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, Kenya; a Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London; a Certificate in Corporate Governance, Kenya; a Certificate in Leadership and Organization Management from Strathmore Business School-Kenya / Gordon Institute of Business Studies, South Africa; and a Certificate in Financial and Organisation Management from Swiss Re Institute, Switzerland.

He has held various senior leadership roles at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation and East Africa Reinsurance Co. Ltd, gaining over 25 years of extensive experience in Public and Private Corporate environments. This reflects his strong professional foundation in technical skills, governance, leadership, and effective risk management within organizations. In 2024/2025, Mr. Kirui served as a technical, risk management, and financial consultant at Ethio Life and General Insurance S.C., Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Mr. Kirui possesses extensive executive and Board experience, coupled with strong strategic leadership skills. His work in multicultural environments has provided him with international exposure and experience. He has participated in various professional development programs both in Kenya and overseas and is a member of several Professional Associations.

Mr. Kirui is currently a part-time lecturer in the Mathematics and Actuarial Science Department at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and a Consultant in Risk Management, specializing in the Life Assurance and Reinsurance sectors.

A visionary leader and change-maker, Mr. Kirui is an Independent Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Technical and Operations Committee.
