Ms. Margaret Gaitirira
Independent Board Member (Chair of the Board Committee on Finance and General Purpose)

Margaret Gaitirira is a seasoned career banker with over 20 years' experience at KCB Bank, where she held senior positions in Retail and Corporate Management, including Receiverships.

She was actively involved in handling securities for KCB as one of the holders of the Bank's Power of Attorney for the registration of charges, mortgages, debentures, and other collateral.

Later, she worked as Head of Banking and Financial Services at Manpower Kenya Ltd, where she acquired skills in recruiting and training professionals in technical and soft skills.

Between 2019 and 2022, Margaret served as a Special Advisor to the Governor of Nakuru County on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Gender, and Women Empowerment.

Margaret served as the Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee from 2021 to July 2023 in her capacity as a Board Director at the Retirement Benefits Authority.

Margaret is a Director at LISAM Consultancy, which trains bankers and financial services professionals.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a High Court Accredited Mediator.

She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Nairobi, a Master's Degree from Ohio University, USA, and a Counselling Certificate from the Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors. She also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Banking and Finance.

Margaret is the Chair of the Board Committee on Finance and General Purpose.
